GETTING
STARTED
The following steps outline the process that a municipality needs to follow in order to establish a photo-enforcement program with AllTech Tracking:
-
A municipality partners with AllTech Tracking to conduct research on intersections of concern.
-
Traffic studies are performed and crash data supplied by the Illinois Department of Transportation related to the municipality is compiled.
-
The municipality passes a local municipal ordinance to allow photo-enforcement and other traffic safety measures, if necessary, and completes state-mandated paperwork for the installation of automated traffic enforcement.
-
The municipality engages with AllTech Tracking to provide a traffic safety program at agreed-upon intersections. Together, AllTech Tracking and the municipality develop and execute a public awareness campaign ahead of the program launch.
-
AllTech Tracking installs a photo-enforcement system at the approved intersection(s) at no cost to the municipality.
-
The photo-enforcement system goes live. AllTech Tracking monitors, maintains, and services the photo-enforcement system.
